About
Hi, I'm Reyshan.
I'm a writer, filmmaker and host, and I've spent more than 20 years in restaurants. Food and stories are the two things I know best, so I make shows about the people who feed us.
I earned a B.F.A. in playwriting with a minor in film from Ohio University, where my Strike: The Musical won the Humble Play playwrights festival in 2007, and an M.F.A. in writing and directing from SCAD.
I co-wrote, directed and edited the feature Odie (2017) and have made more than a dozen shorts, web series, commercials and music videos. I created, executive produce and host Beyond the Check, streaming on Tubi and Prime Video, and its podcast of more than 100 episodes.
I wrote the noir novel The Good Girl, the Detective & the Femme Fatale and adapted it as a feature screenplay, and Naturopathic Medicine for Beginners.
I live in Savannah, Georgia, with my wife Jordan and our dog Bones. Starting January 1, 2027, we're raising the money to take the show on the road: Off the Beaten Path.
